The Marquee Events story, like yours I expect, is about a journey.

My journey as a DJ started when I launched my first entertainment company at age 17. I played music at every type of event you could imagine. I also worked as a radio and nightclub DJ in college. One song at a time, I polished my DJ skills and learned the art of event design and lighting production.

After more than a decade of entertaining at hundreds of weddings and events, life brought me marriage, a busy corporate career and two young children. I sold my thriving business and refocused my energy. 

As the world changed in 2020, I found myself reflecting on my passion for music and how much I missed packed dance floors and having a front row seat for the special moments of the couples who trusted me with their entertainment.

I was thinking about the many events I had attended where the DJ didn’t meet my expectations for what couples and clients deserved. People weren’t getting the best from the DJs they hired.

I took a deep dive into how I could use my industry experience and knowledge to create Iowa’s new standard for DJ entertainment and Marquee Events was born!

We’ve set out to be the exclusive DJ choice for the coolest and most stylish couples, corporate and private events in Iowa.
